Life has been hectic lately. I’ve been cooking less regularly and out and about a lot. I’m hoping to settle down a bit soon and get some new recipes up. I’m particularly excited to demonstrate a very simple recipe for delicious, healthy homemade bread.
But for now, here’s a video of chef Jacques Pépin demonstrating two ways of preparing a traditional French omelette. Both are relatively quick and simple, and the results look lovely.
I think my mouth is still watering from those stuffed chicken breasts I made two weeks ago. Try them if you haven’t. Thanks for stopping by, and I apologize for the lack of updates.
Hey man, it’s been a loooong time since you’ve updated. You haven’t abandoned the blog have you?
Hi, no, I haven’t abandoned it. I have every intention of coming back. I’ve been really busy — I’ve started taking classes again, I changed jobs, and I moved. I have a new bachelor apartment (how appropriate), but the move and job switches have got me absolutely, no-joke-at-all broke. So for the next few weeks the amount (and variety) of food I have is pretty limited.
And while that may sound pretty grim, I’m spending the weekend house-sitting for a relative and I have a kitchen full of food and fancy countertops. I’m currently soaking a pot of black beans and hope to have a new, sort-of-original recipe cooked and photographed tonight.
Thanks for stopping by! Sorry I haven’t posted in a long time. I’m not going away though.
